Learning to do Batik!!!

The walls were filled with BEAUTIFUL batik!

He is putting my fabric onto a frame :)
This is the tool that is used to draw on the wax.
Our workspace.

This these are my first few lines of wax onto the fabric.

Slow and steady... and working to avoid drips!

The dying/painting process.

This is after I finished the lines and then used q-tips to paint on the dye.

I am missing a few steps... this is after I added the paraffin, which is used to make the crackle-colors.  Then, it is re-dyed a dark color to make the crackle.  The last step after this to do put into the boiling water to melt off the wax and paraffin.
My completed, drying, batik.
